School of Hospitality Leadership

 

The School of Hospitality Leadership, located within the prestigious Driehaus College of Business, was established with the support of a $7.5 million gift from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. Beginning fall of 2009, the School began preparing students for leadership roles within hotels, restaurants, convention and tourism ventures, private clubs, spas, and related leisure industries.

As the world’s fastest growing and most dynamic industry, hospitality offers seemingly endless professional opportunities to those looking for excitement and adventure in an industry that never sleeps! While hospitality is a global industry that transcends borders and cultural boundaries, the School is focused upon two critical issues facing the industry nationally: a growing shortage of qualified, skilled workers and a significant lack of diversity among hospitality managers and leaders.

The School of Hospitality Leadership is located in the heart of Chicago’s Downtown Loop where students benefit from a world-class metropolitan environment with a host of opportunities to apply their leadership knowledge and gain real world experience that will further distinguish their skills.

The School of Hospitality Leadership warmly welcomes applications from freshmen, change-of-major, and transfer candidates. 

 

SHL Announces Special 2013 Summer Minor Program

 

Are you interested in completing the Hospitality Minor during Summer 2013? SHL will offer courses during the two summer 5-week terms in 2013 so students can complete the Minor in Hospitality Leadership.
