School of Hospitality Leadership

INTRODUCING… The School of Hospitality Leadership!

It is with honor and distinct pleasure to introduce DePaul University’s new School of Hospitality Leadership, established within the prestigious College of Commerce, with the support of a $7.5 million gift from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. Beginning fall of 2009, the School will prepare students for leadership roles within hotels, restaurants, convention and tourism ventures, clubs, spas, and related leisure industries.

As the world’s fastest growing and most dynamic industry, hospitality offers seemingly endless professional opportunities to those looking for excitement and adventure in an industry that never sleeps! While hospitality is a global industry that transcends borders and cultural boundaries, the School is aimed to address two critical issues facing the industry nationally: a growing shortage of qualified, skilled workers and a significant lack of diversity among hospitality managers and leaders.

The School of Hospitality Leadership is located in the heart of Chicago’s Downtown Loop where students will benefit from a world-class metropolitan environment with a host of opportunities to apply their leadership knowledge and gain real world experience that will further distinguish their skills. The city supports hundreds of unique businesses and nationalities from all over the world, making Chicago a true global educational experience!

The School of Hospitality Leadership warmly welcomes applications from freshmen, change of major, and transfer candidates.
